The 2024 NFL football season is already starting to take shape with several rookie quarterbacks being named starters for their team. So, what does this mean? First of all, the significance of this is because the position of quarterback has first contact with the ball once snapped and can truly make or break a play and adding a rookie in this position up against veterans means he may or may not actually perform in the same way he was in college. Below are the rookies that have been named starters for their teams thus far (this will continue to be updated until the official start of games):
Bo Nix - Broncos
Played for Auburn University and University of Oregon in college, was drafted to the NFL in 2024
Caleb Williams - Bears
Played for the University of Southern California, Heisman Trophy winner in 2022, was drafted to the NFL in 2024
Jayden Daniels - Commanders
Played for Louisiana State University, was drafted to the NFL in 2024
